PNG Aviation Project
Place: Papua New Guinea.
Project: Building a house for an additional missionary pilot.
Total Cost: $20 000 | Funding Needed: $20 000
Proposed Dates: Planned for October 5-20, 2011
Approximate Personal Cost: $2,500
Project Overview | In the past few years we have had the opportunity to financially support Adventist Aviation in Papua New Guinea through the purchase of a new plane. In such a remote and rugged country aircraft is the only way of access to essential medical and educational services. Adventist Aviation has provided this service for many years and more recently they are providing opportunities for entire villages to viably transport goods that they grow or produce to market. This creates economic independence for communities and is a part of the process of helping individuals live healthy and purpose filled lives.
To make this ministry self supporting an additional pilot is the greatest need. This would increase flying capacity and have the planes in the air more often. For this to happen they need additional housing ... and a Papsda team have the opportunity to build this house. We require approximately 10 people with building skills/tradespeople to assist with the project along with others who are happy to help with labour.

Human Trafficking - Asia
Project Overview | In 2010 we made contact with a Nvader, thru the Police Conference. This organisation is dedicated to rescuing women and children who have been taken as sex slaves. As a church community, we would like to start supporting this area through intensive prayer, and look at ways to support the cause further into the year.
Clinton Rappell director of ADRA NZ, and Solina Theron a journalist from Papsda are currently in Asia researching ways that ADRA can provide education opportunites that will reduce the risk of people being taken as sex slaves. More information will be coming soon.
